Well, my computer was running slow, so I did a defrag/disk cleanup
and it was working really good. My sound had an issue and someone
told me to restart my computer and it would fix it.
Well, I did restart, and it just kept restarting over and over and
not taking me to my log in screen.
I contacted support and they told me to burn a program on a CD
and it would work. Well, 'worked' is right I guess. It allowed me to
restore my computer, losing everything I had.
I'm still pretty pissed because I had a ton of shit on it
that were just sketches that I planned to work on.

I've gone threw that experience many times. I usually looses a lot of artwork and music. thinking of witch I really need to back up my comic. >_>;

Oh Lord, that sounds terrible!
I'm so paranoid myself, I have most of the important things (and the unimportant ones, too) on my external disk and even in addition on one of my USB sticks, just in case one of them breaks.

Agreed, computer issues suck. Losing stuff sucks too. :< I kept having issues awhile back. My laptop was on the fritz for awhile before finally dying. I repaired Windows once, and completely reformatted it once and it didn't fix the issues. But both times I was able to run Puppy Linux from a disc and backup all my files, so all I lost was time. A lot of time, but eh. Then it finally decided to die hardcore... DURING FINALS WEEK. So I had to do a bunch of projects on my crappy old desktop that was BARELY capable of running the programs I needed it to. Fortunately my brother was kind enough to come over and try to fix my laptop as I was still working on finals projects, so I was able to get the rest of my projects off it and get everything in on time. But I was never able to get it to run Windows again.
I also wanna look into an online back up thing. Because all my backups are kept in my studio apartment, so if anything went wrong there I'd still lose everything.
tl;dr - Computer issues suck. Back shit up. @_@;;;

I had everything encoded a certain way on my computer (so I could have 3 passwords, one at startup, a another and then the official log in page) But suddenly I had hardware problems. ( part of my computer died) so I had to wait a long time for my boyfriend to come over and put in the new part. Though when he went in to set it all back up he forgot he encoded it so he ended up corrupting all my data.
I had to delete it all in the end.
ever sense my files have been in slums, a thrown together mess of
files from my school laptop and my previous computer in attempt
to make up for my lost files.
I lost alot of old drawings, many important PSDs and other sort of things.

I need to learn how to back stuff up.
The only reason I have never done it is because I don't know how.
I will have to ask Reanna for help.

LOL speaking of Backing things up, I opened my last raw page of Neon Glow and all it was was sketches and half Inked. I yelled out, "FUCK! O ^ O; " Then I realized I saved it as the wrong name or something. The finished last page was another file. O_o Not sure how that happened.
