Time skip time!

Have them get cursed with prophetic dreams -they have to live through this scene you know is coming, but then their current selves have to go investigate to find out if it's a demon messing with them by giving them false information or if it's real, and of course their actions will change stuff....

That way you get to immediately write out the stuff that's in your head already, and by making your current characters suddenly get confronted with future possibilities you get interest back in the current timing because it's funny to watch them scramble around trying to figure it all out!

Or maybe that's just the way my own mind works, I dunno.

I have other plans that happen to get to that point in time tho o3o they gotta visit the elves and stuff...

But first I gotta get them through the "quarantining of the South West (slums) sector" >:x I always stop half way through that arc >;x

Time-skip past where you get stuck?

I mean, do you really absolutely have to write it in chronological order, anyhow?

I don't like time skips. o3o


And I do o3o otherwise I get confused.

If I get an idea for something later, I make a note of it on the timeline ovo

Well, that would definitely stop me from finishing -the minute too many constraints get placed, my creative flow just dries right up. It's sad, because that's exactly the self-discipline you need to do anything to begin with, lol, so it's just a flaw in my personality, but there you go.
Of course, I rely a *lot* on editing to fix all the craziness that happens when I let myself write whatever.
But I can fix a bad page.
I just can't fix a BLANK page.

I ... think i have attention issues xD

I get burned out after so long and I have issues with pacing myself. o3o
When I get into something, it's all I can focus on at the moment, other than stopping for a few seconds to reply to someone on here or discord. xD Oh! and to eat.. tho sometimes if I get REALLY focused, I forget to do that too... oxo,

Then after so long, I get burned out.
That or someone does or says something that discourages me.
I once shared a small battle with a dungeon boss with some friends.. and one of them rewrote the entire thing and I didn't even recognize it >A< It was longer my work...

People who change my stuff like that... causes me to get discouraged so bad, i get depressed over it, and I'll stop working on it. >A<



I do things a certain way so I don't get lost... xD
I also need to map things out... as in city and world maps... >->, I get lost in my little worlds city all the time x-x And i suck at making maps. I'ma redo the map again soon.. wish I could make a 3D map of the place. o3o




So! I'm reading dungeon busters, and this lady is complaining about the people of Gameria (America) running their ACs during cold times... and I just sooo relate!!! I have neighbors that do that.. run AC's while its SNOWING outside... if your hot, crack a window or put a fan as close as possible to a closed window and let it run. Cracking the window is best tho o3o

I’ve been writing a bit as well. No chapters, its just literal text. XD i haven’t even bothered to go so far as to separate it. XD;; since i normally only really work on it at work, when i’m supremely bored and i want to look busy. XD so i type random stuff and write a bit. XD

Creating actual maps is pretty clever, I might steal that idea DK!


Wait, Hotarla, if you're typing it at work can you even access it from home?!

It's awesome that you people manage to write at all.
I hope we can see it sometime!

I wonder if we have a place to post our written works like Japan has Syosetu...
I only know of fanfiction sites and blogs. Those places are best if you want your work stolen. =/
