I'm a seasonal peon because the lake is seasonally open why would a theme park be open in winter when it's too cold for rides to operate and exactly zero buildings have heating so benefits are a myth

There's a park in Indiana that is open most of the year. Holiday World?
I've only been there once, but it was pretty fun. Except for Kevin making me ride a roller coaster and I cried like ridiculously hard for 10 minutes. That part was awful.

Babies are alright until they start leaking. Then I hand them back to their parents. lol.
But it's really good that there's people who love taking care of kids. There is a serious shortage of quality affordable daycare.
When I have my own daycare I will not accept any children who have not yet been potty trained. I changed enough diapers over the years working in facilities so since I can make my own rules, that is my main one. LoL.
I don't really mind kids screaming - and they do not seem to scream much in my presence, I dunno if it's because of my demeanor or my aura or what but kids and I always seem to get along pretty well. I love being around kids and would rather be around them than adults. Same with animals. Kids and animals are innocent and don't judge you the way adults with preconceived notions do.
I find that with children who misbehave or scream a lot, it is almost always the fault of the parents. Honestly, people should be forced to go through parenting classes whenever they get pregnant because there are a lot of idiot parents out there.

Even happy screaming and yelling makes me cringe. I can't deal with it. lol.
It will be nice to be able to make your own rules.
I think kids and animals are innocent and deserve to be protected too. I'm just a very R rated person. lol. I swear a lot, I make many dark and crude jokes. It's hard for me to reign it in around kids. So I don't particularly like to be around them.
Oh yeah. There are so many shitty parents. It's awful. I think you should have to take classes before you get pregnant or adopt. And then there be a test before you can have the kid.

I've never been comfortable around children. I guess because I've never had to be around them much so I find it weird to communicate with them. Even now that I have a niece and nephew I'm so awkward.

Cat, I'm awkward with pretty much everyone else other than kids. I have social anxiety. Get me in a group of anyone over the age of 12+ and I almost totally shut down.
Light, I'm pretty good at shutting off the swearing around kids - I guess the years of working with them helped with that. I have zero filter if there are no kids around though. LoL. 
I totally agree there needs to be some kind of test before you can have kids

Oh yeah, same here... even at work I tend to avoid eye contact and talk to maybe two people in the whole store. I always feel like kids are making fun of me or something.
It's weird I know.
My friend worked in a daycare for many years and she sounds similar to you.
I third the testing idea!

I'm also super awkward around most people. I'm not good at socializing. I want to be friends with people but I think I come on too strong. And I'm super honest about everything. People apparently don't like a lot of honesty. lol.
I say things sometimes and people will laugh. And I won't be trying to make them laugh either. Then they won't tell me what was funny. So I do feel like sometimes they're making fun of me.
