Even though when the caravan isn't here you can get up to 3 donuts per post, the frequency is lowered enough I really don't make many donuts between caravans. I'm going to have to go post-crazy when it arrives, too.

I just hope I don't feel burned out on posting when the caravan does show up so I do post like crazy! XD

This is when you start visiting more threads than you normally do -or start new chatting threads about various topics, to create more for them (it's the perfect time since people will actually respond and post when the caravan is there).
You can also do something like create a thread for your artwork or written work and begin slowly posting various creations, since you don't need to wait until someone else posts in between for that, you just need to create something new.

For example: I still haven't completed my November limericks. I'm not really inspired to do so.... but when the candy caravan rolls around I'll probably try to use that to force myself to finish that project.

I wonder if I created a Round Robin type writing project if people would join in and write with me? I used to do them as holiday themed threads during events on another site but it would be helpful during the caravan.

I post in a bunch of threads.
Usually I don't find anyone online at the same time, but it's ok, I know I'll have replies when I check the forum again.
I manage to post a lot just by being active in several threads.

Even with the low activity levels I'm being able to catch up - despite my hiatus.
So I guess the main problem is not the forum getting quiet, but life getting too busy!
