I'll start retweeting.
I feel that way about lots of things. But there are a lot of things that kids need to learn that they don't get taught too. Like cooking and cleaning. That stuff is hard to figure out on your own.

Oh yes.
Some of my happiest times as a child was playing out in nature. It's good for the body and soul.
My other happiest times were reading books and playing video games/ watching movies.
You need a nice balance of all of the above.

I have more memories of playing out in bad weather growing up, than anything else.
No greater joy than getting dirty in rain and mud, while playing tag with your friends. :}

I was rarely let outside in bad weather. I would play in the mud afterward too.

My mom's only rule was for us to come home if it either thundered or if there was hail. Outside that, she trusted us not to get ourselves killed. :}

As for me... I think I was more indoorsy than outdoors. I remember drawing a lot.
