Maybe my arm, I don't know.

@Spica- Yea I would be too! But at least small ones can be easily covered up.
@Vee- Idk just google tattoo fails xD and you can see alot of tattoo artists mistakes. I guess it just depends on who you go to.
@Vineda- yea same here- anything written I'm gonna avoid!!
@Moi- ohh yea my arm is where I'm thinking of getting a big one too because I mostly show my arms and nothing else xD

i mean, i am sure tattoo artists have messed up before, im not saying it DOESNT happen. but before you go to someone, you should look at their portfolio and pictures of other tattoos they have done. i thought that was common sense though xD you should never get a tattoo from a stranger or from someone you have never seen work of !!! duhhh :P

yeah. But where I live they usually only work from stencils and don't do own stuff and when there's own stuff you can literally see that they're not used to that and make more 'mistakes' (small defects, nothing big, but still, for something so permanent...)

xDDDD
Thing is even if they do phenomenal stuff with another style of work- maybe they are really bad at what you want. Like I doubt most normal tattoo artists know how to make a watercolour tattoo. They could be amazing at the other style but not in the one you want. And also spelling mistakes happen to the best of us

I don't know where I'd go.
There's a few shops around here.

which is why it's important to know which tattoo artist you choose...

yeap! Most tattoo artist will spend a lot of time helping you if you ask. My friend got a tattoo recently and that took 3 months of planning with her artist!

I would demand to see at least 10 samples of their work.
If they can't provide, I probably won't go there.
Sorry, but I won't just give them my trust on something permanent and meaningful xD

It's cool if you have that. I can't out here. 3 months is only if you're underage to make sure you're certain. other than that you go in, make an appointment and get the tattoo done. that's it...
I'd much rather make a more informed choice, but some (not all) get all kinds of huffy when you ask for samples of their work... Some don't even get it and go to google and type in something and go like: if you have a good picture, we'll print it and use as a stencil... If I ask for something their style they just look at me like I just told them my dog has an opposable thumb....
