I'm surprised you're not getting roasted but I guess no where else is as harsh as Australia wheeeeeeee unless you live in the desert then maybe
Yes, it's pretty cold this year. the spring was also very windy, with cold winds so I didn't even notice the spring has passed already. It was windy all the time and then suddenly I looked in the calendar and then it was the first day of the calendar summer and I was like "wait, what happened to spring, did it end already? did it even start? XD"
We've had some hot week or two in spring, but it vanished and gave place to a few weeks of thunderstorms alternate with some sunshine. Then just some simple rains. And now this week is starting to get warmer, it's supposed to be 25C today, tomorrow a few degrees hotter. But maybe we'll have some rains, you never know with the Polish weather XD

missed Agito's B-day. I feel bad. Happy belated B-day? :qhehe:

@Candy: lol, in jail? :qshock:
Yep. That's what happens to deadbeats who don't pay their child support after awhile. That or he did something stupid. Which wouldn't surprise me.

Ahaha XD Yes, we have that in Poland too, that debtors go to jail after a while. Well, in some places it's actually kind of worth it to go to jail. You have the roof over your head, daily meals and if you're not a terrible criminal maybe you won't have as bad in there. And you can educate yourself too, plenty of time and materials for that, as I've heard :qlol:
But that's only some places.
Do you have that option that if the debtor goes to jail for not paying the debt, he ahs to work from jail in order to pay? I've heard of such practice but I'm not sure where it was.

Yeah here in some states they're supposed to work in jail and pay, but I guess not here in Nebraska because he never paid me while in jail.

Our jails are the same whether you're a bad criminal or not from what I understand. No special privileges.

Oh well, ;/ but at least he paid this once, let's hope he'll keep paying :qsml:

I meant more the co-prisoners than special priviledges :qt:

The US jail system is pretty fucked up. I'm not going to go into it right now, because it would take hours of typing, but if you are ever interested, read up on it. It's a terrifying world we live in.

Hopefully he'll pay again.

@Fire: Tell me about it. My mom had a warrant out for her arrest and we didn't know about it. And it was over stupid tickets. And yet there are people who drink and drive and have done several times and only got a slap on the wrist. My mom went to jail for 6 days! How f***ed up is that?

The prison system in the US is not about rehabilitation, it's not about making the country a better and safer place, it's about punishment. A murder will get the same treatment as a kid who got caught smoking weed at 17; a rapist will be serving time alongside someone who couldn't afford to pay a speeding ticket. It's ludicrous. And just the act of being convicted can permanently reduce your earning potential and ability to get a job, even if you do want to turn your life around. It's insanity.

I'm a true crime fanatic and all I ever hear on US podcasts is "... and then they only served 6 years out of their life sentence and got paroled and then they killed another person!"

I find it tragic and unfair. I'm not even sure how Polish jails work, but I know one thing: in US you can kill someone in your self defense or while defending someone else. And many times (I don't know if it's always) you become a hero for that (at least that's what we see/read on media). In Poland you go to jail for murder. It doesn't matter you were defending yourself/your children/anyone.
