I think I'm past wanting to meet new people and create relationships in real life.
I've been a shut-in for so long that I just like being at home and talking to people online.
I've actually seen people talk about how they hate being under house arrest and how it drives them insane and it's like...I'd LOVE that xD;

I have no friends in real life. All my friends are you guys and my besties on Facebook 8u
People think that's pathetic, but I've met the most caring and understanding people online.
I've also met people from different countries that I would never have met in real life ._.

I have to be in the mood to deal with people offline, but online too.
Which is why it takes a while for responses from me occasionally.

It's hard to make friendships, or relationships in general, as you age. I'm at college now, so I'm meeting a whole lot of new people. Joining clubs and my roommates help lol
Oh, I totally 100% believe it's possible. Real life communication can be troubling for some, so why not open up how you can?

I understand lol I'm like that too! And good people/friends will understand that.

I mean, fan art is usually more popular but having any art is better than no art.

Maybe you can socialize with your neighbors first?

I'd probably click with certain people and not everyone.
I tend to joke and be sarcastic 90% of the time and people don't seem to get it.
I also have interests in things people don't like to hear or have no interest in which makes it hard to bond.

Especially when I talk to doctors and therapists.
My one therapist knows my personality so we get along, but anyone new doesn't seem to get me.
I'm usually a bubbly person despite my appearance, so I talk to bugs and plants and animals constantly.
I told a therapist I was sick and haven't even been talking to things like usual.
She asked me if I have hallucinations and I said yes and she said "Is that why you talk to bugs and plants? /extremely concerned"
I talk to bugs and plants and animals because they're living creatures.
They might not understand me, but I talk to them .__.
I also used to tell half serious half joking things to my doctor and he always looked worried about me xD

Moi - I have heard some super awful things about DA. But you do you.

See that's why you just start out by saying hi to people. Do that a few times and then maybe you'll get up the nerve to chat their ear off.

You just gotta find your people. There are a lot of different people who are very into sarcasm. lol. And loooots of people LOVE art/horror/anime.

Oh man. Therapists always take a while to understand. And some of them just don't mesh with ya.


Nan - It's a wonderful thing but it can be very difficult too. It requires a lot of work. Have you had any relationships yet?

What kind of awful things? I mean I know there's some bad things that have happened on it. Like a stalking incident, tracing, art theft, etc.
I use DA because that's where my largest following is and I have friends on there.

Yeah, that's true. I tend to just start talking about weird shit when I get too anxious or too comfortable >>

I haven't met lots of people in real life that enjoy those things.
I've met a lot of people online.

I've developed this...humor thing over my life. Making jokes when I or others are upset, laughing as a response to bad things, and that kind of thing.
I even make the "xD" ">xD" faces when I'm angry and sad.
Like with Kiri being sick. I said it will hurt a lot when she dies and I was crying and my heart hurt, but I still laughed and made jokes and such.
