I don't get insulted, but I will post a very messy sketch, and people will say "You should do this." "This doesn't look right." It's just a sketch o_O
I don't know about other artists, but when I do a sketch, it's nothing like the final piece.
I constantly change things.
So it's weird people react that way.

Wasn't on dA, but someone posted a WIP and I joked that it needed more cowbell
They threw on clipart of a cowbell and asked if that was better
Obviously that didn't get to the actual final piece lol

I have autodesk sketchbook and it's giving me smoother lines and now I'm proud of my art.
Here you can see the improvements.
