They came in and were all "Eww someone playing the Pokemon Rippoff"

Digimon and Pokemon are really nothing alike ._. the only similarities are that they both have cute critters that evolve. the differences, 1 digimon per tamer (some get 2 digimon) and the digimon always revert back to a digiegg form when they 'die'.

Pokemon you can have as many as you want.. when they die.. they kinda get a headstone x'D

In the anime, digimon revert back to their rookie form after the battle o3o
They can fuse together and dna digivolve with their tamers and other digis

I've YET!!!! To see a digimon have babies.. o3o where in pokemon well.. breeding is a thing xD

Wasn't Digimon even earlier than Pokémon, though? It's sad that many people seem to see it that way. It's indeed not very much alike. I really love both as seperate series <3

Luckily I've never seen a Pokémon actually die. I've just seen the graveyards and wondered how they got there :p

according to the wiki, pokemon came out in 1995 and digimon came out in 1997

one came out as a gameboy game and the other came out as a Virtual Pet (inspired by the tamagotch and gigapet boom back then)

its kinda like the battle of .Hack vs Sword Art Online.

They both came out around the same time. But Sword Art Online was a virtual novel where .hack was a video game and those take YEARS to plan.. buuut people are calling .hack a SAO rippoff =w=

Wow, I don't go in so deep. I just see them as different things. Evolving pets aren't a really rare concept either - even KofK does it :p
