Oh I'm pasty as mayonaise white indeed, but that's not it. I have cousins with the same skin color who don't burn like lobsters. I simply inherited my mom's sun sensitivity.

That I happen to have dark red (looks brown) and Dark green/gray (also often mistaken for brown) is just a coincident.

Plus I dated an Asian guy once who burned faster than me, so that's not it. You are just lucky. :}

So today I found out my mom actually really does it fully automatic when she jars the backdoor a bit when she bakes something.
I had noticed the door being latched open a few times now after dinner, but till I asked mom to please close the door once she is finished as it is cold; and her telling me point blank the door isn't open as she hadn't been near it, did I realize she doesn't even realize she does it...
It is nearly winter and gas and electric are too expensive to open that door for too long. :}

we never keep doors open on any day of the year lol, apart from opening the door (but not the screen door) that goes out to the yard. the door opens from the kitchen so sometimes we open the sliding door to let in some fresh air. but there's also a screen door so we only open the sliding door and not the screen.

Screen doors are an oddity not a common in the Netherlands, plus our backdoor opens outwards not inwards. :}

Ah really? Screen doors are like everywhere here lol. Keeps bugs out. And we have sliding doors that open out to the small yard lol, not doors that open in/out. At least not where I live.

In my area Screendoors are also common.
but in other parts of the country they might not be a thing. I guess it also depends on the living situation. I never had screendoors at places I rented :mcheh:
(I still rent, but the place is owned by my parents so things are different)
