That's the charm of traveling or living in other countries. Different everyday things to do and enjoy.
I mean, visiting monuments and museums is cool, I always do that too. But at the same time you can get a bite of the local lifestyle.

I hope once I get more settled into my job I can take time off to travel. Besides going on a roadtrip to every yarn shop in the US, I want to visit Japan, Germany, and England.

Do you all have dream journals? Where you write down all the things you dream of doing or places you dream of travelling, and then enter all the little bits of information you collect and associated ideas?

And then when you actually have the time and money or other resources to make it happen, you can never find the blessed journal?!

Not that I'm still mad about it or anything. :qcry:

Hahaha, poor Li Li.

I've never had such a journal.
There are plenty of things I've dreamt about, but most of them are almost impossible - not because they are actually impossible, but because they are idealized dreams which do not fit the real me.

There are many places I would love to visit, anything new is great so I can be content with the easiest destinations.

I suppose if you regularly make your achievable dreams come true you wouldn't need anything so long-term as a journal.

That sounds like a much healthier way to do it :qlol:

I guess so?

I mean, I would love to visit Japan.
But I know I won't do it. Because long trips require a lot of time and money, and they end up being tiresome. So actually shorter trips suit me better.
While it would be a nice dream, it's not a realistic one. So I keep it in the realm of dreams.

More realistic trips I do plan, and they often come true.
Now I would like to do a trip thru Spain, visiting the different towns in which I lived, and showing them to my son - specially the one in which he was born.
With the current situation we don't feel like travelling, so I'm hoping things get better soon enough.

I have a bullet list journal! I do usually know where it is though haha. And I guess it's more realistic things than dreams, like things I'm trying to work to achieve.

I've read about bullet journals.
It's a very interesting approach, but I've never been sure whether that would suit me.

And I mean regarding organization, because I know for sure I would not be the kind of person who makes doodles and such.

Oh haha... my brain did a funny thing.
I meant to say, bucket list journal.
But I do also have a bullet journal as well XD XD

I loveeee my bullet journal. I do it every night before I sleep and honestly it's been the best self-care for me. I sometimes draw or most of the time I just make collages to decorate it with paper, stickers, found elements, etc. But I've also seen plenty of people who do really nice and neat journals without any 'art' alongside, just to organise their time, and that's pretty cool too.

Bucket list journal?
So you don't have a simple bucket list, but you track your progress towards each goal? Or how does that work?

I have a custom agenda (printed in A4) which I use for work.
And we have a tasks and appointments calendar for the whole family in our "command center", so we don't forget about anything.
I've sometimes considered the bullet journal for self-care, but I've never really done it. Mostly because of time. Which may be a hint that I need it. But well, whatever. v_v
