Kingdom of Knuffel

For a while screen doors were really popular by homeowners here to be put in during a renovation, but not anymore. I've only seen them in a handfull of houses and not one of my friends who own their houses have them as of this moment. French/Patio doors are far more popular.

Personally I would love for screendoors at the back/garden doors would be a given. It would so help with bugs in summer. :}

Yeahhhh I think screen doors here are pretty common? I’m sure other options (like the patio/French doors) are also a thing but mainly screen doors lol.

I would only want patio/french doors if they lead to a conservatory, and any door that actually leads outwards (minus the main entry) to have a screen door in one way or another. :}

yeah i would think the same too. i think that any door or window that leads into a living space should have a screen door. our front door doesn't have one but maybe that's for convenience, so that you don't have to enter 2 doors when you go in and out.

Actually front doors not having screens is because of fire safety. That way might the firebrigade need to enter your house during a blaze they do not need to open a hot iron door. :}

i suppose that's true. although some people like to have an extra screen door i guess. maybe as a different safety issue. or just as extra protection against bugs. xD
