Congratulations on the house!

I have no idea what Monday and Saturday mandates are. But I'm sorry you're behind.

Our regular shifts are Tuesday-Friday, ten hours
If we're behind (in the busy season, the peak has passed but still got a lot to make), we get mandates for overtime. Just Saturday, usually, but since my area is behind, I've also got to go in on Monday
The mandates are only eight hours, at least

But the problem is, my area is tem people plus our lead. Five per shift. We've been having generally five total between the two to do stuff. Two on first are stuck on the lines, as am I on second. And two more on second are out on medical until at least the end of summer, so we're falling behind
And if we're behind, our lead has to pick and choose what stuff to focus on, which naturally leads to other things sliding by
But if we somehow end up too far behind, we will have orders the lines cannot run because they're missing stuff from my area

To me, the best vet would be telling the supervisors that they cannot pull anyone from my area to the lines, even to help catch up. Not enough people to run the lines they want? Shut down the lowest priority lines. This line fell behind and has bottles on the floor? Either shut the machine down for a bit or do an early shutdown so they cab clear out and clean up

But what do I know I'm just a peon

It sounds like they should hire a couple more people. Preferably 'floaters'. People that are trained in multiple jobs so if a person or two are out it doesn't completely dismantle all of the working processes.

But companies are super greedy and love to make people work as hard as possible for the least amount of compensation that they can give.

I hate capitalism. It's the worst.

Well, then that's their own fault. They're making themselves lose money by trying to save money. It's super bullshit.

People are slowly starting to wake up to the greed of these corporations. It won't be too long until they get taken down. I can't wait.

It's not going to go well for people like me, but it's already not going well for people like me. At least maybe society will do better if we bring down capitalism.

we kinda have no choice but to bring down capitalism cause the environmental crisis can't be solved as long as we have the capitalist model

in other words if we don't get rid of capitalism we die

or if someone's smart enough to devise a model of 'healthy capitalism' based on sustainable, circular economy we might have a hope

I think that it's possible for some people to do a more ethical form of capitalism. Small businesses. But once you get to corporation levels then it is impossible for them to do anything ethical. They're all about the greed. More money. More money than anyone could ever spend in their lifetime. It's awful.

I follow someone on Tiktok who has a very socialist capitalist business. It's fascinating.
