I don't know about suspicion.
In airports I'm too busy figuring out where I should be heading to to suspect about anything or anyone at all xD
But they are hostile.
They are cold places, everything looks kind of fake or unreal, nobody belongs there and you can feel it.

I'm pretty sure that's the US airports that are like this. I've just never felt it that much in other countries. Egypt was pretty wild though, you had to go through security to even get to the check in area and they were very thorough.
Still, my least favorite flying experiences were generally in the US.
That being said, once you go through security everywhere is pretty much the same. Unless it's a very remote island/airport (Like, when I went to Tahiti there were chicken running around the airport, that was hilarious)
Rubie wrote:@Kuuki: That would be super cool, but I'm not TOO terribly worried about it right now. I will once I start booking and planning my trip. The signs they had in English were really good when I went and the few times I needed help, we were able to find it really easily. But then again that was in Tokyo, which is why I'm worried about other places.
It depends on the places obviously but most places frequented by tourists are actually pretty easy to get around. And with the help of Google Maps nothing is impossible!

I get lost very easily, even in places I'm somewhat familiar with - I mean, I was working in London 2 or 3 days a week for 3 years before the pandemic and if I got sent to a place which was just slightly outside the neighbourhoods I was familiar with, I would get lost and take twice as long to find the place XD
Oh, same. Even when I use the GPS on my phone I seem to get turned around. I remember once going into an older part of the city for a job interview, and despite leaving with hours to spare (because I knew this would happen), I still managed to only get there 10 or so minutes before the meeting, because I spent sooo long trying to find which building it was talking about. I was almost in tears. I even called my mom like 4 times that day to get her to look at the streets on a bigger map of the city on her computer.
Of course, it didn't help that the buildings were so old that they were not well marked on the GPS, but still. It always happens regardless of where I am. xDKuuki wrote:That being said, once you go through security everywhere is pretty much the same. I wanna see chicken running around the airport! Sounds like that would really relax the atmosphere. I'd probably miss my plane trying to catch them though. xD

There were chicken everywhere to be honest. The hotel we stayed at had some trying to get inside the breakfast hall.

I don't know why, but I find that extraordinarily adorable. Like, I don't even like chickens that much, but I kinda wanna see them just clucking about everywhere!

In Easter Island we had stray dogs following us everywhere. They were totally not threatening and loved pats.
Chicken didn't like pats.

Chickens can be so silly and stubborn, I don't think I would like them running around while I had breakfast.
Unless they were of the fluffy kind I've just discovered exisits. Too cute to be annoyed with them.

I made it, you guys. I managed 140 posts. I can get all the hairs!!! :D
@Kuuki, I both love knowing that there are places so kind to strays that there are dogs everywhere that aren't scared of people, yet feel heartbroken that there are strays at all. Weird, conflicting sentiments... And I'm not surprised that the chickens did not like pats. xD
@Amura, Feathers in my bowl of cereal??? No thanks!

Wow, that's really impressive Moon Star! Good job.
I think I've only managed around 60 posts this caravan? I dunno, I haven't checked in a while but I haven't done many today.
