Well, first time I have been in here, I think.. and I love Japanese stuff, rofl..
anyway, I'm like Mikael.. I'll try to chat if it's a topic I have knowledge about, I really need to get social but I haven't meet anyone whom really shares what I like in my area and getting ready for college, I really need the practice of getting more socialable.. and no themes really helps as well, cause I don't really know what most people my age discuss, I live in a seaside town and from what I have been told from the ones I know still living in the town, most people when they reach 21, leave for the bigger cities since there is nothing really for people my age to do or meet people unless you like drunks, rofl.
I want kids but I haven't meet anyone yet.. I am hoping maybe in college I'll find someone I click with, maybe someone with a really nice sense of humor, I rather spend time laughing if nothing else.
And that sounds like a fun job, Jess.
I work as a cleaner but it's not the best job for my back.
I was at an interview last week but haven't heard anything back.

What are your areas of interest, Chloe?
Aha, I find that being social online and being social IRL are two entirely different things.

Mikael - I'm ony an illustrator part-time. I'm mainly an English Literature scholar.
I suppose my real taste in drawing is either realistic, or cute...
If you're interested, here's the sort of thing I normally do:
http://eoweniel.deviantart.com/ and my webcomic is in my sig :P
Chloe - Where do you live?

Ah, that sounds interesting. What do you do as a literature scholar?
Oh, nice art! I like your art style, especially for "The Mechanic" and "Rabbit". It's so clean! The shading is also very straight-forward --I'm kinda envious of that; shading's probably the worst part for me. *facepalm*
Ahh... I don't notice people's sigs or avatars. *facepalm*

The stuff you usually draw is more to my liking Jessicat. I especially like the sketches, but that's just cause I like sketching more myself...
I've recently started practicing myself, but I'm well aware I need a lot of extra practice to even get near the bottom rung of most of kofk's artists. There's really a lot of amazing people on here...
I like looking at the different artists' styles...

*patpat* I feel very unsatisfied with my art as well. Well, all we can do to improve is to learn and practice! I feel like I'll get better once I actually start drawing again.
I want to see your art, Vin!

I really like your art style Mikael! I saw some of it on the Art Bump. And thank you. I drew those two for the last KofK contest. The bunny one is a knuffel too ^__^
I'm currently writing a book on Shakespeare. I also lecture at university. So essentially I'm a teacher and researcher.
I want to see your art too Vineda!

Oh, what, you did? XD; I have mixed feelings about my art... mostly that it's so simple compared to everyone else's. *facepalm* I think I try too hard to make it accurate or even that it comes off stiff.
Ooh, I see. Is she already sold out?
Ah, I see. Good stuff. Do you plan for your class' reading list then? What've you got on there?

Mika: I used to be really good for a child, but then I stopped cause my entire family kept putting me down and telling me my cousins were better suited (now I know my family's just a bit wrong when it comes to how they treat me and my cousins)
So now I'm finally aware of that and I found some drawings again, I've restarted drawing more seriously. So they're still really bad, but I know I'm improving...
I'm afraid all I have at the moment is doodles I did while in class and when I wasn't practicing yet...
I'm working on practicing a bit of drawing every day now and once my friend is back from Japan she'll teach me to work on a bamboo tablet...
I noticed a while back that I can't colour in real life unless it's in paint (which I rarely manage to do since I've no space suitable for it) so I wanted to try it on my laptop. A friend loaned me her tablet she no longer uses to try it out. I'm hoping I'll manage to master it at least partially...
Jessicat: you and mika are much better than I am. I'm just beginning in art...

Thanks a lot @Jessicat & @Vineda for enlightening me about Tanabata :) I went to visit a website about it and it says, the event was 35 days over *tee-hee* I really wanted to create my own Tanzaku, hang them on Bamboo tree; Kusudama & Toami, but I kept missing the date. Oh well, there still a next year for me to prepare lols
@Jessicat - I love your illustrations. How I wish I also has a talent like yours. I do make sketches and doodles but I'm still not confident with the result lol
@Mikael - Same impression with Jess. I love your sketches too :)
@Chloe - Hello and welcome aboard! Glad you stopped by into our humble shrine ^^ Where are you from by the way?
