Honestly it sounds like you have a super healthy survival instinct -anytime your brain says, "this is associated with something risky to us" it puts up really strong barriers to keep you safe.
That's kind of cool.

I can see how it might get frustrating when it gets associated with things that aren't actually a problem for you, but still -kind of cool!

I have the same kind of pretty strange food aversion with seafood cooked with milk sauce. Milk sauce with meat? I love that. Seafood in any other form? I'm eating it like candy. But I just can't when it's served with milk sauce.

That being said, isn't that a part of how phobias come to be?

Ugh I have that same thing that happens with the spinach, Jacob, for a bunch of random foods. Mostly meat. I'll be happily eating away and then my brain just goes "NOPE we're 100% done now". It's a huge pain, but at least I know I'm not the only one.

I can't remember what incident(s) caused it, though, because my brain likes to take memories like that and hide them forever ಠ_ಠ. So I have all of the aversion and none of the why.

Weirdest one is apples. If I so much as see someone eating an apple, I suddenly feel sick and my jaw spasms. So I'm like fleeing the room when an apple comes on TV, going "WHAT KIND OF APPLE TRAUMA COULD I POSSIBLY HAVE??"

And my brain is like "you have not unlocked that memory, please try again later"

Haha! Hana, you need to level up and then come back to this room to see if the key works :D

I also have an opposite effect: I've been vegetarian for my whole life, but I've obviously eaten meat-alternative stuff, like for example seitan bbq ribs. Now when I smell real ribs I'm like mmmmm yummy, even though what I actually want is something completely different to that item XD

Nice, I'm going one by one with the Tamaris extensions. With my minimal posting it's going really slowly :mcheh:

I'm after the Tamaris Hair Extensions too.
But hey, these new eyes always make me want to quit my very neatly organized quest and go all for them. They are gorgeous.

Huzzah, he's back!

Can I ask that some of you go post in the statistics collecting thread with your current post count and donut count, and then later (WHILE Grog is still here! Or first thing after he leaves) do it again?

I'm getting very weird results where my donuts are going up faster than my post count, and it's supposed to be a 1-to-1 ratio during this event.
I want to see if it's just me with some sort of bug or if I'm missing something that would affect the stats.

It's more that Amura and I were trying to gather statistics to figure out the average number of donuts per post (or posts per donut) when Grog is *NOT* here, and if something is throwing off the post count, we need to figure out what, and how, so that we can arrive at an accurate answer.

And because when Grog IS here we know the ratio -or thought we did- then it becomes a useful measuring stick.
