That smell... was driving me nuts.
And the fact that it was seemingly coming from the living room.. and the farthest spot from the kitchen at that...
Totally weird! >:x

ovo tankies! do wish manga used more furigana than it does.. Miira no Kaikata only uses it with names >:x

it still confuses me on when to use the on-yomi reading and when to use the kun-yomi reading.. x-x

white: haku, byaku / shiro, shira-, shiro.i,
peach: tou / momo

and then peach also has a nanori (what ever the fk that is) which is mi and mono.. =/ so thats more readings!

Hakutou's name uses the on-yomi. So.. what if someone read it with the kun-yomi? shiromomo// shiromi? shiromi doesn't sound bad i guess.. girly tho o3o hamuki? mix the on-yomi with the nanori?

what is nanori anyway D8

when does one use the kun-yomi? ITS TOO DIFFICULT! So difficult that Japan has slowly been lowering the amount of kanji used.. but they can't lower it too much because reading just Hiragana makes it too difficult as well. o3o,

Yeah well i guess smells travel…weirdly. XD;;

Oh i can tell, in chinese, that those characters also mean “white peach” in chinese. XD so if its kanji like THAT, i can recognize it as chinese. XD

that doesn't tell me when to use the on or kun yomi readings! and what is a nanori?! >:o

oAo how would it be spelled out in our alphabet .. is it called romaji for that too? o3o how to pronounce it in chinese?

white = shiro = bai (in chinese)
peach is still "tou" in chinese

i never think of chinese as an alphabet, or having an alphabet lol. i just see them as stroke orders. XD;; like you can give me a traditional chinese character and, while i might not know what the character means or how to pronounce it, i could probably almost accurately write it out in the correct stroke order. (not simplified stuff because i don't know heads or tails for that, it looks so much more different from traditional chinese)

i attempted to take a class for Old English. i epically failed it...XD

Old English can shove it.. =/ the way the original Shakesphere stuff sounds gives me a headache.. and then people will have manga characters talk like that. >:x Like.. wtf did that character just say?!

Ooo o3o baitou
Makes me think of the Japanese slang term for Part time Job xD Arubaito (or just baito)

I think of asian characters as words. And if they have similar systems like Japanese Kana system, then I see them as Syllables not words or alphabets.

that's what i originally thought Old English was. its NOT. its like Latin but...older? XDDDD Its also known as Anglo-Saxon. Latin was derived from it.

Shakespeare is written in Shakespearean English, which, to me, is just an antiquated form of English. XD Old English is NOTHING like it. So don't mistake "Old English" as Shakespearean English. Because what Old English/Anglo-Saxon is is the earliest form of English, even older than Latin and definitely older than Shakespearean English. XD

Yeah lol. japanese and chinese sometimes have similar pronunciations and definitely some of the same characters.
I think of the characters as words as well. but i also wouldn't call it an alphabet because all i remember of alphabets is the catchy alphabet song for English. there was nothing like that in chinese, hahahah! XD

I remember when a friend took a screen shot of a game he was playing, during a cut scene and asked me to translate it. I stared at the characters and was like. "If it were Japanese, I probably could, but this is Chinese.. I see the characters for ghost and fire... but they might not be the same in Chinese. And could also be something completely different if they're compounded with those other characters."

Looks like the character herself was some sort of ghost and had ghost fire power or something....

I see. Well usually japanese characters that are the exact same as the chinese characters have the same meaning. Usually. I haven’t seen a case where it wasn’t. XD;; but i could be wrong.
