愛 ai alone is love

可愛 add ka before ai (kawai) and you get Cute/Adorable.

愛称 add shou after ai (aishou) and you get Pet Name.


可 ka alone is can/passable/shouldn't/do not

称 shou alone is appellation; praise; admire; name; title; fame

its also about which reading one uses for each kanji.. o3o, (there comes in those on and kun yomis)

I barely get english compounds and spelling of the words right...

Then you got the Japanese language and you have to keep telling yourself, "how would Yoda say this in english?"

I don’t really understand it lol. I know stroke order, perhaps, but grammar and where to put what…xD;; i usually had my mom help me when i had to write something in chinese during my chinese school years. XD;;

Stroke order makes things easier to find in dictionary apps that allow drawing. ovo

I was doing a water change on the baby fishes little quarantine specimen box... using an medical oxygen tube... AN OXYGEN MEDICAL TUBE! and the fuckers STILL got sucked up into the tube! >:x

Like DUUUDE!! My shrimp like getting close to the water change hoses and crap but even THEY know better than to get THAT close...

So one or two may not survive another day.. and I gotta find a piece of sponge to put over the end of the tube so they don't get sucked up that small hole...

AN OXYGEN TUBE! >:o That is how small they are! They fit just fine! (as long as it isn't sideways)

yeah, its the best way for me to look up characters sometimes, when copy and paste doesn't work. xD;;
