XD It wasn't my first. My first was Yu Yu Hakusho. A little later Inuyasha started airing. I use to watch Inuyasha right after Yu Yu Hakusho every Saturday night. I was about 10 or 11 years old at that time.

It was my first after I became aware of what anime was (ie not including the ones I used to think were just 'cartoons'). Otherwise I think my first was sailor moon.

No, but it was one of the first few I watched back when Adult Swim was more an anime thing.

Nope, Inu Yasha was not. Pretty sure I knew about Ranma 1/2 before I knew about Inu Yasha.

Lets see.. The first anime I ever saw might have been Astro Boy or Speed Racer.. then Ronin Warriors and soon after DBZ and Sailor Moon.

I first understood what anime was when I was around 10 and was obsessed with Pokemon. I learned that Pokemon was a kind of cartoon called anime. I learned about it on the internet, which I had just started using.

The first two things I learned about after that discovery were Catgirl Nuku Nuku [which I STILL have not seen yet] and Ranma 1/2. Ranma 1/2 and Tenchi Muyo were my first mangas. Lollll.

Im old.

Does Ghibli count as anime? XD

Uh...I think the first thing I ever watched was dubbed.....it was either Pokemon, Beyblades or Sailormoon.

I recall Sailor Moon and DBZ being my very first anime, but Inuyasha was where I discovered I loved anime.

So, surprisingly I always thought Sailor Moon was my first anime. But I later learned that the Speed Racer and many other toons I borrowed VHS for in the kids section of Premiere Video (Basically Blockbusters if no one knows what that is) was actually older dubbed anime series. Major shock for me.
