There’s forms if online proctoring. I’m surprised the school hasn’t looked into that already. I think zoom might have some features that can do that too.

If I were you, I’d use any opportunity to get it. I got mine back when they were first released because i work in health care and although the fever i got after the second shot was rough, I would still do it again if it meant I didn’t get covid. I’ve seen up close what covid does and I’m not about to mess with that.

Fair. For the most part the vaccine is going to those who need it the most first. I’m not sure how politicians snuck themselves onto that list but they did. Every state is running a little different though like in NY having asthma is enough to get you on the list. My husband was able to get it because he works for a school and even if that wasn’t the case he could have been approved because i’m a medical worker and he’s exposed to me. Texas might have some odd rule that lets you get it sooner than you think. My old home state is giving the vaccine to people who bring their elderly relatives.

Honestly, I’d still get it. A good way of not feeling guilty about it is that you are contributing to the herd immunity and you are less likely to give the virus to someone else who may need medical attention.

Also the covid bogging up hospitals is a sad reality everywhere. We had to convert half our special care unit rooms and half our medicine floor into icu rooms with negative airflow. Covid rooms took up 90% of icu equipment and staff so if you came in and needed icu level care and were non-covid we didn’t have many openings for you. I remember we had a patient in the covid unit pass and before they even took them out, the admin staff already had a person planned to move in that spot. They just needed to wait for the room to be cleaned.

I will admit that the second shot took me down for a bit, but I’d do it again if it meant protecting my family and friends.

Healing people would be nice. I have to hand it though to modern medicine because this could have been so much worse. The spanish flu and tb out breaks of the early 1900s had a lot more casualties. I just wished people would wear their damn masks and social distance properly.

The reaction from the second one is highly dependent on your immune system reactivity. If you have a highly reactive immune system, which you tend to see in healthy people, then your reaction to the second dose tends to be worse than those with less reactive immune systems.
