So weird! :mcshock: I dunno then... does holding your breath work for you? It's usually my go to.

Dang that sucks. Why's she on oxygen now? So she's milking it a little? Does she have a grabber? Michael's been using one because Hazel never brings her fetch toy close enough. xD

Nothing ever works so I tend to let it ride out o3o

Not sure why exactly. Doc had a high contract CT done and saw something he didn't know and is sending her to a lung specialist. =A= Waiting for that specialist to call us to make an appointment.

She doesn't have a grabber and even if she did, she wouldn't use it. She feels that because I'm her caretaker I have to do EVERYTHING for her, including getting something with in her reach.

My husband is the same way... holding his breath doesn't work for him so he just waits til it stops.

I hope everything is well with her. :c

I know it can be frustrating having to do so much, a lot of people don't realize it's actually a lot of work being a care giver.

Doctor did say he saw scarring on her lungs from smoking. I've been making her go 3-4 days with out a smoke -w-

I was told by mom's friend's sister to go get a real job =A= I don't get paid for taking care of her .. mom gives me 50$ of her money a month so I can save up for things I want

My mom never did stop smoking and she has COPD. And an emphysema scare several years back. I guess it's really hard to kick for a lot of people. I've always though it was gross and was never even tempted to try.

That literally is a real job. x_x I'm surprised you don't get anything for caring for her. I thought it was funded for some reason... like paid for by the govt.

There use to be a program here that paid us for taking care of family. now you have to have an outsider come do it... I think too many people took advantage of the program and ended up abusing their elderly parents or something =A=

A friend and I were curious on smoking when we were little, stole some butts from our parent's ashtray and tried.. bleh never again.

I think it's best to do that when one is young, as you go yuk early and decide then and there to never do it again! ^(owo)^
did the same with coffee >w>

People tend to take advantage of things. :qstr: That sucks for you though...

See, I never was even curious about it. xD Maybe the anti-drug stuff in elementary school helped with that. Plus the smell is just yuck! It's good you decided against it in any case.

Maaaaaan I love coffee. It's my one serious addiction. I can't go without caffeine in the morning or I'll get a headache all day. xD I'm shamelessly addicted to it.

Yea.. Mom use to be a chain smoker so I was too use to the smell that I didn't smell it. xD

The drug stuff was easy for me to avoid.. I saw how many LEGAL scripts mom had to take ... illegal ones didn't sound or look appealing x-x

that caffeine o3o -pets-

So I was really surprised last time I visited my mom. She apparently just quit smoking altogether. I'm happy for her! I never thought I'd see the day...
