Hey guys - as you probably have noticed the Layout has changed a bit.

First of all: PLEASE perform a hard refresh on your browser by click Control+F5, because otherwise chances are pretty high all the images and links will load in the wrong places. Clearing your cache might now also be a good idea if possible.

Second: We know, most people do not like changes. However, we do not spend countless hours on these things to annoy our users, but in this case the change has some practical function:
The main idea was to reduce the size of the banner, so people with smaller screens would not have to scroll around so much and things would fit onto the screen without the need to scroll around for all of us.
Apart from that, with the site constantly getting new features, we were running out of space in our linkbar to put our links. Therefore we have added a drop-down menu bar.
You better just click around on the links in the linkbar to find out which features of KOfK are located where now. There are also now some direct links to things like your signature editing page and your Knuffel, so we hope that things get a bit easier for everyone.

Another reason for the layout change is that for the old layout, which I did some years ago, I mainly used brushes like the roses and pre-made fonts without putting much thoughts into it. I wanted a layout that was all done by me, and also a hand-designed Logo that did not use any possibly copyrighted fonts, not just because of copyright issues, but also because of artistic pride.

I have tested it for the past few days and some and I understand completely that it takes some time to get used to the layout change, and most of all to the navigation of the linkbar. I for example had to get used to the fact that if I want to navigate to one of the links in the drop down menu, I had to keep my cursor on the mainlink and then on the drop down menu instead of just drawing a straight line to the link I wanted to click on, but this is something you will get used to pretty fast, so please give it a chance.

While I understand that not everyone will be happy with this and some will prefer the old look and navigation, I believe that overall it will mean an improvement to this site we can all benefit from.
