You know the ones you watched when you were a kid and now are gone or only shown at night/early in the morning. Nowadays no one even talks about them anymore, so I made a thread to discuss them.

Now tell me what were your favorite cartoons when you were younger?

I remember being obsessed with PowerPuffGirls and Rugrats.

I also grew up with Powerpuff Girls and Rugrats. Only I remember Rugrats creeping me out as a kid, but I'm not sure why. I also grew up watching Cat/Dog, Transformers, Dexter's Laborator and pretty much everything that plays on Boomerang.

My favorites are Courage the Cowardly Dog, The Power Puff Girls, and Scooby Doo.

Man, I remember those. You young things make me feel so dated.

Being from Korea, I watched mostly Japanese cartoons, or anime as people call them. Lessee... there were a lot of giant robot cartoons like Mazinger Z, something about rabbits and robots on the moon, Eagle Brothers 5, and um... something that sounds like McAnder V. These were Engrish titles that the Japanese people thought up that got translated into Korean, you see. Excuse me if they aren't quite what they are. Um, I also watched Dragonball. Not Dragonball Z, mind you. The first one, when Goku were the same height as Krillin. There was also a Mario cartoon... and my father and I enjoyed watching the Galaxy Express 999.

Then I graduated (or perhaps devolved) to watching Sailor Moon, Wedding Peach, there was something about a detective girl, Candy Candy, Little Witch Mint, and something about the animals of the Oriental Zodiac going into fairy tales to keep them from distorting. Little Mermaid and Snow White I also watched, but not Disney versions. Rose of Versailles I think I also watched... and of course, my favourite, Kaitou Saint Tail, which the Koreans "translated" into Angel Girl Netty. Explain that one. Oh! Lulu of the Flowers! That was also a good one! Man, I watched a LOT of cartoons. It's little wonder my grades suffered.

Right before I moved to Canada, we got some American cartoons. So there was something about Moon Stone, Sun Stone and Heart Stone. And Johnny Quest. Spider Man, Captain Planet, and of course, Smurf. Those are just some off the top of my head. There are a few more that I remember snippets from, but not enough to really explain them.

I have a material trading thread that lists all the mats that I own. I can help you with the quantity, but please don't make me go through it myself to figure out which of the mats you need are in my possession.

Recess. Recess was the best cartoon there ever was.

I also loved watching Doug and Pepper Anne, and also there were the educational cartoons on PBS like Arthur. :qh:
