Some example submissions I've seen have also been kind of 'naked' in the first stage. This was something I read on the first page or two when I was looking up some rules, and thought it might be worth mentioning again! Someone stated in earlier pages that going from 'naked' to clothes seems like a 'dress-up' rather than an actual evolution journey.

Minimal clothing seems standard, clearly, but approved submissions usually seem to have small details that are relevant to the evolution - rather than just underwear. These details can be straps or ruffles, or wear and tear in the clothing, etc, that are a good basis for the knuffel's evolution.

I have a question! I want to make knuffle versions of my Dragon Age OCs but I was wondering if they would get rejected because of the vallaslin? The vallaslin are important to my character designs, but if it causes them to get rejected I can fudge it to something else. Also, will it get rejected for using dalish themes? I'm not going to draw these exact outfits, but it will borrow similar themes and colors?

I doubt they would get rejected for that, it's just a tattoo.

I agree. Just make sure it's not an exact copy, but more inspired by the items. For example, I think it'd be a cool idea if the vallaslin sprouted leaves and flowers.

This is the first stage and the one I'm most worried about. After this she's going to go through some dramatic changes and most of everything she wears is going to be original designs. The part I'm most worried about it the vallaslin part. Right now it's still really easy to change it, so if it's a problem I can do that.

Therefore I am on smartphone I had to zoom in to see the details.^^

It doesnt get me the dragon age feeling, so I think it wont be rejected.

It looks really cool so far.

You do not need to worry for taking single aspects from some original design. That's usually not a problem. It's only when you take a whole original character from a game, movie, anime, etc. and use it or only add small tweaks to it. (Though I have read that even minor alterations to a desig are already enough to not get into trouble with copyright laws, but I would not want to risk that. It's all a bit too subjective, as how much of a design needs to be changed to be called your own isn't something that can be determined in words or numbers by law). But yeah, just taking a one aspect from an OC should not be a problem. In the end the vallaslin itself is just some markings on a face.

5 changes between stage 1 and 2 is more than enough.
