I think it works out to somewhere like $5 XD I make embroidered items, from decor hoops to jewellery to clothing. I also added some handmade cards to my stall this time and one of those is what I sold. Everyone felt really grumpy. We weren't supposed to start packing up until 3pm, but everyone unanimously started moving at 2.30 XD

Pretty much haha... now today I'm catching up with my "actual" work :mcdead: At least this will make some money to make up for it. Now I'm getting people complaining to me about the shipping costs for the magazine as if I'm somehow in control of Blurb as well :mcmeh:

Yeahhhhh a long time. Haha XD Some of my items took more than 40 hours of work, all done in the evenings. I would really love to start selling more so I could dedicate more time to it.

Also I might be crazy but I just signed up for another stall XD not in the same place, but that's not necessarily less crazy because it's also more expensive. But I'm really hoping this time because it's a bigger event with more upmarket items, so people will be thinking of spending more. If I don't sell enough at this one I guess I would call it a day and stick to online sales.

Thing is, truth be told, I don't really care if I ever make any money from it because I love doing it. But I need more money to be able to buy more materials XD Also my drawers are getting filled up with stuff haha, I need to sell some to make space for more. I get Etsy sales now and then but I can make 5-7 small pieces between each sale so it doesn't completely help XD Some of them I would probably not get mad about keeping, some of them I'm not putting on sale because I love them, and some things, I just don't care about them once I've finished because the point was to make them.

Thanks! I feel like I might need a lot of good luck XD Also I might be addicted to doing stalls now and having people come buy to say they like my work~

That's so sad :mcsweat: Guess they didn't want to waste more time than necessary... Do you want to show some of your stuff? I'd like to see something.

Yeeeeah but I can understand. I recently wanted to order something from the US that costed 5€ but would have had to pay 20€ in shipping. It was a sew-on patch :mcmeh:

I'm trying really hard to work on my essay right now. I don't know how I'm going to do this on time.

Shipping is really tough. Ours is $11 shipping on a $13-15 magazine so I get why people complain, but the thing they don't understand is that if I went through other suppliers we'd be looking at a $25 base price in the first place. It feels like they're getting duped into paying double because of postage, but reality is, this is still the cheapest option. And there's nothing I can do about it.

Sure, I have an Etsy shop here: http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/jaggeddreamland
Not everything is on there though, the cheap stuff I don't bother putting up because the fees would take so much off the profit it would hardly be worth it.

That's awful... Would you be able to change the price? Instead of saying it costs 14, say it costs 25 shipping included and have it show in the basket or whatever as "14 magazine 11 shipping" only at the end? That might be a bit less frustrating.

Oooooh I like the fishy.

No, unfortunately we can't do anything about the price or the shop front or anything because it's all run by Blurb themselves.

Thanks :3
