Word Games Forum Rules
Posted: May 23rd, '12, 10:49
The Game Forum is one of the few forums where users can make threads and posts without any intend of a discussion, yet it still has some rules:
What are Word Games?
"Word games are spoken or written games often designed to test ability with language or to explore its properties."
Do not create spam-like games
Creating a thread like for example "post a random number" is not a game, but simply spam. A game should require some thinking and/or creativity. If you just want to post meaningless content for food, please head over to the Spam forum.
Do not create a mass of new threads
No one needs 10+ game threads. Make one, focus on it and try to keep it active, instead of spreading our attention on multiple threads
Do not create duplicate topics
If there is already a certain game, don't create a new thread with the same game, but join the old one.
Auto-prunning
Game threads can grow quite larger without any real content.
Just like in the Spam forum, threads that have been inactive for over 2 weeks get automatically deleted.
This is a measure to keep the database as small as possible.
