Yeah, I prefer younger animals in generally because they don't live long.

But humans live for a long time. So if you get a baby or you get a kid you're gonna have about the same amount of time with them. You're more likely to die than a kid is.

Lots of foster homes are super shitty places.
Nah, anti abortion people don't care. If they did care, they would adopt kids. They just wanna control people with uteruses.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's awful when we lose a pet. -hug-

If you give an older pet a forever home at least they'll have a good end to their life not stuck in a shelter

That is true, but my mental health is so bad I can't deal with any more death.

I'm glad that there are some people who can deal with it.

Also, I adopt instead of shop so I help in that way.

That thought crossed my mind - giving an older animal a good end.
I just don't know if I can handle losing another pet.
Have lost all my dogs.
I was a kid when we got Soi and she gave birth to Hyde and then she later gave birth to Saya.
All of them are gone now...
I also lost my cat Kiri I had for like 15 years.

We also keep losing cats. They just vanish and are never seen again.

You should keep the cats inside then they're less likely to get lost.
It's safer to have cats inside. For them and the environment.

Well, we can't keep them all inside.
They don't all get along and some of them don't know how to live inside.

There's some strays we help take care of. It's not like we went out and bought 40 cats.
Some of them will let you pet them and even hold them, but they don't know how to live inside a house.
The majority of them are spayed and this calico we named Toffee is the only cat to give birth that we've cared for.
She's going to get spayed when we get money.

Ah. So you have some home cats and you help strays also.
I thought you meant you had a bunch of cats that you just kept outside.

My mom has a ridiculous amount of cats that are outside. People keep dumping them at her house. And then they breed more. She gets them fixed when she can, but the charity can't keep up with all the drop offs she gets. It's sad.

I guess they're getting fed at least, but some of them have health issues.

No, they're cats a few people on the block feed.
Some we let in the house because they don't tear stuff up.
My little Momo is missing and it makes me upset.
She was my cat but she stayed outside because she was mean to the other cats inside.
Was not happy about putting her outside and now she's gone.
I just had my dog of 15 or so years die and now my Momo is gone...
I had a dream of her last night, being out in the yard.
I haven't even properly grieved over my dog yet and now I'm at 2 losses.

I'd love a bunch of animals but I know I can't physically care for them.
I loved animals since I was a kid and I wanted a lot of them xD
