I love Jack Black, but he would definitely make a movie less scary (or at least it seems like he would--he's so funny).

I was thinking about this show yesterday....yes! I watched Are You Afraid of the Dark? when I was younger. Some of the stories would make me scared but looking back on them now, they were pretty tame. Ah, memories.

I never watched it consistently, but I did watch sometimes, and I remember that a lot of the shows really creeped me out. :qsmr: Probably a good thing I sometimes enjoy getting creeped out.

I had never watched Are You Afraid of the Dark or Goosebumps when I was a kid. But when I got older I did watch some of the episode of these two but I ended up watching more goosebumps. But I feel that both of them are pretty much the same. Nineties kids in the middle of a cheese horror story that was a lot more scarier when you were a kid than now. I ended up laughing in some of the episodes but some of them I was a bit creeped out by. The next kids horror show on my list is the Crypt Keeper.

I liked it a lot. I think the tameness of the stories is refreshing. The emotion and tension developed seem more effective because they're based on the basics.

I used to absolutely love this series. Had to see every episode, now some of those stories are just so tame. :}

A good show from the days of past. I use to remember this was one of the only few non Animated shows on Nick I would watch.
