It's actually not that bad. Once you know what it is it's harder to eat but it's still edible.
Sashimi is really good but it depends on how fresh the fish is.
I don't like everything that's squishy like squid.

it'd depend on the texture.
I've had super fresh expensive sashimi, was really awesome
and not so fresh, it was smoked too, wasn't as awesome. Bit too much smoked flavour and I love smoked fish

I don't even know how to describe what texture it is, the kind that melts in your mouth?
Japan has good sashimi even in the supermarket. It's not cheap but not too expensive either and it's wonderful when you crave a quick bit.

I'm weird with textures
I so miss sushi
my town has no real place to get it and so when I was in Sydney I had it a lot. Worth it. Alas I have the sushi/Asian food craving often.

I'm a bit annoying as well with textures so I understand.
I thought that these days you'd find Asian food everywhere. I think my small 10 000 people city had at least 3 Chinese restaurants and a Japanese one ?

Hm, I guess something that could be considered strange that I've eaten is blood sausage. If you get it in the right part of Germany, it's super tasty. I haven't had much luck with the ones I've bought elsewhere though, they weren't as good.
I've also eaten grilled chicken hearts. That's not common here though, I've had them only in brazilian churrasco.
Guess those are the weirdest things I can think of? But then again, maybe you'd consider something weird that I consider totally normal, who knows :D
