I love the ideas above!
Although the shrinking or making items bigger seems like a lot of work or like it's nearly impossible. But it's a great idea (isn't it more of a feature though?)

Shrinking and making items bigger is indeed not possible. The image files would need to be vectors for that purpose, but they are pngs.

I have a suggestion for room item: desert wallpaper, maybe with some pyramids? A sphinx? Or a phinx could be a separate item, like the summer '15 tree we have.
And some mountains or forest wallpaper? Maybe it would be possible to make them similar to the avi bgs we already have? That would be nice
Also, another one. I was chatting about V-day items with other users and this person got a nice idea:

I just thought of items that could be super-special, like maybe functional or something? Plushies of the NPCs, especially wuffels/King and Queen/etc. Also you could have portraits or posters of them, like how people tend to hang up portraits of their monarchs IRL.

Also while I'm thinking of new ideas, windows with more "stuff" outside. Like, one could show the outdoors of a stately home with fountains or topiary. One could be a town environment with people walking by. Of course there's not much room to show all these little details, but just a few hints of where the house might be.

I absolutely love this idea! 
I would love more windows with scenery outside. Forests, snowy scenes, meadows filled with flowers, grassy hills, jagged mountains, sandy deserts, swamps and wetlands, ponds with lilypads, a sandy beach with the ocean in the distance. Sunrises, night landscapes with stars in the sky. Old-timey towns, modern cities with skyscrapers, residential areas, gardens...the list goes on and on!
