micro grasses?
i'm pretty sure my lotus plant is still throwing out leaves, but still no flowers. 8u like....what would it take for it to grow flowers? or is all the seeds i'm planting flower-less lotus leaves? ;3;

they probably need very specific conditions to bloom

bleh, i just see ppl being able to do it and i'm like "that's no fairrrr". i guess i'll never get flowers. 8u

Some plants are super picky about their flowering conditions
Mine are made of lego so their conditions are "be built" (and yes all of them are built)
I've seen here and there posts of this one person with...a lily of the valley, I think? that has exactly one leaf and keeps smashing it into the closest light source, so the person moved it to a window to keep the plant from burning itself and it went "oh, time to flower!" and the person as all "babygirl no"

Lilies in general are tough to grow. I used to grow them outside when I was a kid (it was the only time I was successful with them) and they are so picky. My mom would often water them because I would forget and if the temp ever dipped for some reason in late spring, it would kill them all.

lol it just.......doesn't look like anyone else does anything special with their lotuses which is why i feel like i should be getting flowers. instead, all i get are leaves. lol

I looked it up and google says they need 6 hours of complete sun to bloom. I didn't realize they liked the sun that much.

oh yeah, they need lots of sun. its the reason why i keep the lotus pot outdoors all day every day during the spring and summer, or when the weather starts getting warm enough. the water needs to be pretty warm and balmy too.

Damn they must really hate it in the Northeastern US where I live.

lol who knows? but yeah lots of direct sunlight, warm water.....when i keep it indoors for the winter, i don't care much about it apart from cleaning out the water and refilling it. since we have a bit of heating inside, it actually continues to sprout lol.
