Queen victorias birthday was like May 24? So Canada celebrates her birthday on the Monday before that. I dunno why it’s not on the actual day but like on the last Monday. Maybe it’s just for convenience lol so that we don’t have a random day in the middle of the week or something.

Oh, so that's definitely why.
And I like the thinking of having it on a Monday so you can have a long weekend

Lol yeah. I’m not sure if all the provinces have the day off. Pretty sure it’s a stat holiday.

I can totally see Quebec hating it if they celebrated.

All of my family from Canada live in Quebec and since they have never mentioned it I'm gonna assume they just don' care. They are very vocal when they hate something.

I used to visit Quebec all the time so I thought all of Canada acted like them and then I realized when I got older that they are just the weirdos.

Pfthahahah nope Quebec is weird that way. I hear they’ve tried to separate from Canada. Like they don’t want to be part of Canada or something.

I've read accounts of Quebecians being snotty at French people for speaking French. All "you really suck at speaking French, get some lessons" only for the French person to retort that they're from France, they are French, therefore their French is actually the superior French
Quebec be wilding

To be fair, as a French, I sometimes need a bit of time to realize that those people in the streets or the train are actually from Quebec and speaking French.
