Did anyone else grow up listening to "Peter and the Wolf"?

While some people might feel embarrassed or disconnected from old favorites,
I find myself flocking back every now and then.
Sometimes I'll make fun of myself a little bit for my tastes,
but the truth is if I'm feeling it, I'm feeling it.

There were, like, three distinct phases.

Childhood:
A lot of country music. A lot.
Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Tracey Lawrence, Martina McBride, Jo Dee Messina.
This phase also included the beloved Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and Britney Spears.

Preteens:
Literally all things Disney Channel. And Jesse McCartney.
This includes Hannah Montana's first two albums, Hilary Duff, High School Musical, to name a few.

Teens/High School:
A lot of alternative rock and screamo.
The Academy Is..., Panic! at the Disco, AFI, Bullet for my Valentine, Apocalyptica.
I listened to a lot of J-Pop around this time, too (around '06-'08).

Sometimes I get in the mood for any number of these sounds and just binge it.
Soak in the nostalgia.
The problem is if I hear them outside of those moods,
I'm immediately hit with nostalgia even if I don't want it.
Can leave me sad at times. ;o ;
Aside from that, it's a good time.

Today I listened to a ton of Backstreet Boys' greatest hits and still remembered all the words.
It's almost embarrassing how loud I was singing. ;)
Couldn't help it. They're the best.

I still listen to all the old songs of my youth and before.
I don't like too muchof todays except country.

I went through a few phrases of different music genres, but for the most of my teem years, I listened to "goth" music- mostly dark cabaret and stuff like that. I still listen to that, but I've stared listening to a lot of more pop music. It's really weird, because there's so much merch for these more known artist, some of which I could even get a Hot Topic. It's a very different scene.

I used to listen to a lot of pop as a kid; still sort of do, to some degree. I remember Spice Girls being a hit when I was in grade school, and boybands being a thing in high school.

They're not what I would listen to now if they weren't so nostalgic, but I still like tuning in to those old songs from time to time.

Music was HUGE in my home growing up!
I could go on for days, as I loved/love music from many genre's.
Daddy was somewhat, a part/around, the Music Industry in my early years, so Music was around me 24/7.
The list is extensive...

When I was younger I listen j-rock music a lot! Now I ike to listen old j-rock groups, but it's a lot of new musical group, and k-pop also, but in general my musical tastes have not changed.

When I was younger, I was into country big time.

Than around middle school, my friends got me into Backstreet Boys, Britney and NSync.

In High School, my sis got me interested in Loreena McKennit, Marc Anthony and Annie Lennox. Eventually I located other groups I liked.
