you guard an island that only the king and queen has access to, and the only way to get there is by you building an artificial bridge of ice with your powers. no boat or person can survive the journey without your help

Fortunately your skills as a shaman are not needed all that often, so you have a lot of time for your hobbies. The kingdom pays you a stipend to help cover the costs, since it's a good idea to make sure you have a trained shaman on hand, just in case.
