I want to finish the book I'm reading. But at the same time, I don't feel the motivation to. It's not a book I'm enjoying. But I feel like I need to read to the end and give it a chance.

"I'm pasty white, my eyes are huge, and I have blonde hair. 'course I look Japanese!"
NEVILLE
would have done it in four books
There's a milkman waiting in the sky.
He likes to deliver dairy so long as it's homogenized.
There's a milkman waiting in the sky.
He drives a rundown milk truck
And his milk's been pasteurized.

He told me;

Let the bovines moo it!
Let the bovines chew it!
Let the bovines boogie
Down, down dah dah dah
Dah dah dah dah
Dah dah dah dah...

I know exactly what you mean! I'm liking the books that I am reading now, but that's how I feel about most of the other books that I read!

I finished Fall On Your Knees last night. It was my second time reading it. It is one of my all time favorite books.

You know what's weird? I've always loved the Phantom of the Opera sound track, but never got to see it performed live, so one year I went to look up books and things, see if there was more I could discover on my own, right?

For whatever strange reason, our library had a copy of "Trilby", which is the book that created the "Svengali" notion to begin with, and which heavily influenced Phantom of the Opera -but it didn't actually have any Phantom of the Opera books.

Life can be funny, sometimes.

Anyhow you just reminded me that I've wanted to go read the book for years, so I should add that to my "read this in 2017" list.
Thanks!

(What translation did you read, and did you enjoy it? Would you recommend it, or should I avoid that translation?)

I have this copy: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/480 ... _the_Opera

I'm enjoying it so far, but I'm not very far in yet. This is my first time reading it. I was lucky enough to find it at a fill a bag book sale!

I am kinda not that interested in Phantom of the Opera. But maybe that is just because I forgot what it is about.

Updated my first post to keep track of what I read and what I am reading. :D I finished HP and the Cursed Child, started to read it last year, but finished it about 2 weeks ago. Such a lovely and interesting book.

I haven't been reading much lately. I am still not done with The Phantom of the Opera or Angela's Ashes. I think I am going to lower my reading goal next year.
