hm... i guess i wouldn't really. the way i see it, it's a matter of legal property. the roses are owned by whoever bought the house, so they do have the right to cut them down. but i understand the sentimental aspect too- i probably wouldn't do anything about it, and it'd be pretty sad, but i guess it's not really my place to do something about it.

it's different when it comes to my own possessions though. i hoard like crazy, and i've kept scraps of paper for years because they bring back memories. i have a lollipop bouquet taped to my wall because it was the first thing my boyfriend ever got for me for valentine's.
