The fair and the trip with your sister both sound like fun :mccute:

They were :)

I'm almost done with the calorimetry (a headband with a button, basically) I was crocheting, but I ran out of yarn :(
But it's just a little bit in the neck that is missing now, so I think I won't buy another ball of that one and just use some other colour that I should still have lying around... Otherwise I'll have a lot of it left over in the end, it seems like it'd just be a waste. But I'm bummed, because it was almost enough, I might have gotten away with just doing one row less before starting the ending part...

Ah, that's a shame to run out so close!

I'm sure you will make it look great no matter what you end up using to finish it :mccute:

Thank you! I'm not too worried either, since as I said, it's just a little part that sits in the neck and won't be very visible that'll have a different colour. I should still have some black yarn of the same thickness lying around, so that won't stand out too much against the dark red that I used for the rest.

Black and red always looks awesome together :mccool:

I finished it, and I don't think the black detail is too bad :)
I mean, it's basically just around the buttonhole, so one might even think it's intended. And when I wear it, it will be at the back of my neck, so it will be pretty much invisible.
I even managed to take a picture, but the colour is really off - it is way less pink and more of a dark burgundy in reality.

Hehe, great :)
I didn't expect it to work out this neatly :)
Now I'm glad I didn't waste money on buying more of the red yarn just to avoid this!
I'm also really happy with how the calo turned out in general - it fits snugly around my head and feels very comfortable and warm. I can't wait to try it out outside!
