We aren't allowed to switch on our laptops or phones in class so that's not an option for me lol. History class is the only one in which I can use my laptop. But in a couple of weeks the semester ends and I don't think I'll be lucky enough to have the same instructor next semester. Oh well, I have the summer holidays soon so yay for that.

My professors are pretty chill this semester. Plus, it's how I take notes too.

You know that place between sleep and awake? The place you can still remember dreaming? That's where I'll always love you, Peter Pan. That's where I'll be waiting.

That's nice. Most of our courses require us to take notes by hand rather than use our laptops. They don't trust us with our laptops :mcheh:

Uuuuuu I really want to save up :food: but it's taking time.

I have never been good at doing notes by hand. Most times, the professors just go off on tangents that you have no idea if you're supposed to write it down not.

My history prof does that a lot :mcheh: my other humanities profs are pretty organized in comparison, though.

What's your major?

Education, specifically inclusive childhood. But I realized during student teaching last semester that being a teacher isn't for me. At least not the main teacher.

So I have one class that a friend (also an education major) and I grump about from a teacher's point of view in that it is so not how you should teach.

We had to pick minors a few days back and my second option was Education. My first preference was Media, Communication and Development. My major is called Humanities, because it's a liberal arts major, but if I choose to do Honours I can specialize in Literature. The way it's going already though I doubt I can handle honours :mcsweat:

I see. There's a lot you can do besides teaching, like curriculum design and stuff like that. Have you found an area you're interested in?

Is that prof also teaching something related to Education? That would be so ironic, lol.

Yeah, I'm at a liberal arts college too, so we have a humanities major.

He's, like, an adjunct history professor. He teaches a class called "History of Islamic Theology and Movements". I'm a history concentration and it's one of the two history classes that fit my schedule.

And I know there's a lot I can do. I've had god knows how many people giving me suggestions since the end of last semester (mostly my grandmother repeatedly trying to convince to me to be a substitute at my aunt's catholic school...) There are some places around home that could be fun that I'm looking into. I would sub at my old district but they only hire certified subs and I'm not getting certified...

Well, you'll know when something appeals to you. And I'm sure you have time. How many years of college do you have left?

By the way, the dance they're being made to do is this one:

Lulz. :mcsmirk:
