Wha...Where...

I just remembered the time my dad was at work and he got hit in the face with a metal object.
He was out of it when we got to the hospital.
He had no idea how he got there and couldn't remember anything after he got hit.
But they told him he told his boss he'd drive himself to the ER, and they let him drive himself there.
He still doesn't remember anything.

I was asleep once and I dreamed about zombies taking over.
I woke up and I was completely alone.
I looked outside and it was gray and creepy.
I was in a daze and wasn't sure if I was awake or asleep still.
But my grandpa drove up and I felt normal.

I once experienced Depersonalization Disorder.

Depersonalization disorder is marked by periods of feeling disconnected or detached from one's body and thoughts (depersonalization). The disorder is sometimes described as feeling like you are observing yourself from outside your body or like being in a dream. However, people with this disorder do not lose contact with reality; they realize that things are not as they appear. An episode of depersonalization can last anywhere from a few minutes to many years.

It happened during a time of great anxiety and depression and it scared me so bad.
I actually told my mom and she took me to the ER and they told me what it was.
It eventually went away and I haven't experienced it again.

Have you ever woke up and were confused as to where you were?
Or have you ever felt like you were dreaming while awake?

Not really
I've had a few instances, two while going through chemo, one back in October, where I hit autopilot but the autopilot wasn't working right and I'd realize it with a mental *spang*
First two times were the same:
Get cup
Get milk
Pour cup of milk
Put cup of milk in fridge
Put milk in cupboard
~REALIZE~
BOTH times with Mom watching!

The one back in October was putting the box of rice in the cupboard with the dishes and then the Spong occurred
