Feel better soon, mem! We can't have a confetti party without you~
I'm not sure if Vicks is a thing in Poland, but if you rub some vix under your nose and on your chest, it helps break up the mucus blockage. Then boil a pot of water and waft the steam into your face (without burning yourself! Steam burns hurt!) to release the pressure, and it will allow things to flow again. It might take an entire roll of tissues, but then your sinuses should be clear - for a little while, anyways. Helps take the pressure out of sinus headaches. ^^ I bet you could do the same thing with peppermint essential oils...
If it's inflammation-based pressure (ie your nose isn't runny but your sinuses ache and are all clogged up), a painkiller than relieves inflammation would help. A lot of allergy pills do the trick, as well, depending on if you can take them with the pills the doctor gave you. x.x' Or, if you're a home remedy kinda girl, chamomile, ginger, and peppermint teas are a life-saver - chamomile is a natural anti-inflammatory, as well as a natural pain reliever, peppermint helps clear the sinuses, and ginger is a natural antiseptic, so if the problem is bacterial it will help start to clear out the infection. ^^ /The more you know.
Sorry. I used to work in a loose leaf tea shop, and a huge tea fanatic, and love learning about the healing properties of teas. I can't help myself.
Also, C is a big believer in "don't throw pills at it until it goes away, solve the underlying problem and save the pills for when you really need them so that they are effective", so I'm starting to shy away from over-using pills.
