Ok but if you married it you're equals so that should count for something, right???

I'm just at that age where a girl only has one thing on her mind :mcwink:

Then your marriage would be invalid and you wouldn't get life insurance anyway

Tax benefits?

Yum, protein!

In other news I'm visiting my mother and sister and my sister has her own bunnies now.
They are so cute. So relaxed. Nothing compared to the bunnies of our friend that she took care of for a few months.
One of them started licking me after three minutes :mccry:
Look at this cute bunny

>XD

Well, it almost choked me to death so 8u
Not really worried about protein.
Might not have even been a bug...might have been my own hair xD

NOOOO I love bunnies u,B
It's so cute xD

I actually went to this store to get stuff for the cats and they have birds and gerbils and rabbits usually.
They only had some rabbits this time, but they were so cute uB
They had like three little black ones and two little white ones.
One of them wasn't moving and I was like "Oh no is it dead!?" but then it moved so it was just napping xD

Ah, the age-old "is it a bug or is it hair?" XD

Bunnies are super cute!! Yeah they aren't very active during the day, they're more active at dawn and dusk. My sister keeps her two bunnies free-roam in her room so they have plenty of space to run around and have fun and it's so CUTE when they start running around the place, and jumping around, and stealing each other's food...
Spoiler: read this if you want me to ruin the fun
I'm always kind of sad about seeing those kinds of animals in stores. They usually don't have enough space, don't have enough hiding places and aren't fed by their mother long enough. :/ Bunnies should be kept with their parents for several months to wean and socialise, if they're still "small" in the shop at that point they haven't had enough milk from their mother because they were separated too early :///////
My sister's bunnies could only be kept with their mother for 12 weeks for financial reasons (babies were a complete accident, the mother had been bought already pregnant at the pet store and suddenly their owner had six more bunnies than bargained for), that's how old they are now. The mother had stopped giving them milk a few weeks ago, the owner kept them as long as feasible for them close to the mother. We think that's why they are so well-behaved and POTTY TRAINED in comparison to the other bunnies she cared for.

Well, to be fair, I have inhaled my own hair and choked on it a lot 8,u

I had a bunny when I was little.
He had some of those long ears that hung down.
I named him Flopsy.
He ended up dying and I don't know how.
I went to his pen and he was dead and covered with ants.

Then this lady let me pet sit her rabbit for a little bit, but I never saw it again. She said it ran away but who knows.
Adults typically don't go "YOU REMEMBER THAT CUTE BUNNY? WELL IT DIED HORRIBLY. 8u"

Yeah, I didn't think it was good for them to be cooped up in the small places at the store.
I didn't know that about the mothers though.
Wish I could have taken them all xD

Could have been anything. Stress turning into a heart attack. Loneliness is also a possibility if you only had one bunny. He might have had cancer. 70% of non-castrated bunnies and 30% of castrated bunnies get cancer when they turn three.

Sounds like a gruesome thing to see. I'd need therapy for that.

I never understood the running away thing. Death is inevitable. You gotta learn to cope with it at some point, why hide it from kids?

It's always best to take them from an animal shelter. I feel bad for the tiny bunnies in the store but at the same time I wouldn't want to buy them all to save them, just for the store to go "we need more stock" and put more underfed babies in there. :/

We had a dog at the time and someone said my dog probably got him, but he was in his pen.
My dog couldn't have gotten in.
I remember him being bloody.
But I don't know if it was because the ants or not.
I just remember finding him and running to my dad.
But yeah, I was like 5 years old and that's one of my earliest memories xD

That is true - death is inevitable.
But I think people can explain it horrible to kids.
Takes finesse.
Death scares me, though.
As morbid as I am, it scares me.
My dad told me there's no point in fearing death because it won't keep me from dying.
Everyone dies and there's nothing you can do, so just enjoy the time you have.
But it still scares me xD

If I could, I'd take in as many animals as possible. Shelters and the feed store and even strays.
But I know that would be a horrible idea.
It would cost a lot of money and I'd need a massive chunk of land and people to help me.
But I've always been the type of person to see a stray and immediately want to take it in and give it a good home.
My dog I have now - his mother was a stray.
She was sleeping under the car and my dad tried his hardest to chase her off. But she kept coming back.
He said he eventually opened the gate and told her to come in and she did.
She was a damn good dog too. I miss her.
