    I'm Mikk or Mika, and I'm currently in search of a couple of
    casual RPs. If you're interested in refining your skills in a small
    group, or if you'd like to explore some illustrative forms of
    storytelling, I might just be the partner that you're looking for.
    
    (One-on-one role-plays are awesome, however, I'm leaning towards small groups at the moment.
    If you've got a plot you're craving, hit me up anyways, and I'll see if we can work something out.)

• • A little structure of expectations for mutually awesome experiences.

          ● Purpose. What drives your character? What makes them who they
          ● are? Personal goals add depth to a character and offer promising
          ● subplots to an individual story.
          
          ● Length. My general policy (in one-on-ones) is to write however
          ● much you're comfortable with. I won't shun you if you post the
          ● occasional one-liner, but for the sake of group RPs, let's attempt
          ● a minimum of a paragraph per post.
          
          ● Frequency. Taking RL and time zones into account, we'll be
          ● aiming at a minimum of one post a week, and a maximum of
          ● two posts a day for group RPs. (We'll see how it goes, though.)
          
          ● References. We'll probably start off with written descriptions and
          ● maybe an (avatar generator) for consistency. Additional art can
          ● always be posted under a cut, but I do request that you only use
          ● art that you have drawn or been given (as in commissions or gift
          ● arts).
          
          ● Samples. They're not required for group RPs, but I do enjoy
          ● reading them, if you've got any to share.
          

I'm currently working on two awesome plots for two awesome RPs. I'll be expanding on the contents here as I find the time for them, but here's a quick summary of what I've got so far:

Talking about the first plot got me really hyped for it again, so I'm off to expand on the story and hopefully whip up some awesome content to work with.

          What if you came from a family of witches, but ended up lacking in magical abilities yourself? Would you really be content in exchanging the rich culture you grew up in for one that's so plainly lacking?
          
          Rather than being viewed as a societal reject or being forced to conform to the mundane world of muggles, what if you were given an alternative? There is a school where magicless witchborns are given an opportunity to learn of their heritage, to push boundaries, and to redefine their place and purpose in the world. Welcome to the Academy.*
          
          *To be named.
          
          
          (This story is set in an original world, but bears some resemblance to Harry Potter in the sense that it has secret, parallel societies of witches living alongside non-magic folk. However, we will be exploring this setting from a "squib's" perspective, with adventures and enchantments abound, even if our own characters are unable to cast any spells themselves.)

-Group RP size would ideally be 4 to 6.
-If I finish the set up and have members before we reach that count, we can get started and add folks as we go, or do a couple of side RPs.
-We could do story prompts and mini-RPs together while we wait for people to show up.
-We can have OC discussions in an OOC group.
-I might doodle our OCs, btw. Always helps me get a better feel when I have visuals for mine.

I really like your story idea about the school for squibs! It's a really interesting idea to look at a magical society from this perspective. I'd gladly participate if you'll have me :) (Although I still need a bit of time and maybe some further info on how you picture the world to develop my character, but I already have some ideas floating around in my head.)
I'm not a super experienced roleplayer, but here are some samples of roleplays that I'm active in: group one another group one 1x1 another 1x1, but pretty new, not much there yet

Yeah, the concept itself is still in the works, so it might be a while before we get things set up, but I'll add you to the list so that I can contact you once we do. In the meantime, if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, we'll be glad to hear them.

I've just been a little slow in fleshing out the story because I was intending on working on my character, but since it's event week on multiple sites (and things are happening IRL), it's been a bit slow. Next month is the great NaNoWriMo, which means I expect some folks will be busy, but since I don't usually participate, it'll be a good time for me to work on this RP.

But take all the time you need to flesh it out, I don't mind if this takes a bit before it's ready. Better have a concept you're happy with than rush into it just for the sake of starting sooner.

I have one question for now:
Do you imagine your world to have a subset of the wizarding community that looks down on muggles and muggleborns and/or is obsessed with their pure bloodlines, similar to what we see in HP?

Aha, agreed.

Yeah, it seems inevitable that for every type of community, there would be folks who are prejudice, biased, or ignorant (even if they're well-intentioned).

Elitist witches don't make up the majority of the witch community, but there would be a substantial part of them who believe that the most powerful magical children come from witch and witch unions.

hmmm... wouldn't it be kind of interesting for it to be set in the past? :o
