Attention Span

I don't have a very long attention span.
I often lose focus and just stare at things.
Or if I see something else, I look at it instead.
This woman was talking about her abuse story, which is horrible, but when I saw her cat, I was like "KITTY \8D/"
I get distracted a lot.
Which is why I disappear or don't work on stuff I owe people.
If I sit down to finish art I owe, I get distracted by things around me, and it takes so long to finish.
That's why I usually prefer to be alone and I put a long video or movie on so I don't have to constantly stop and look for other things.
I have to do a few things. I can't sit and do just one thing.
That's why I put music or movies or series on while I draw.
I can watch a whole subbed anime series while drawing and writing or talking online.
And I manage to get everything from the anime, even if I'm doing other things.
I also don't like reading much. If it's a comic or manga, I don't mind.
But as far as books go, I don't read much.
What I do read, I often just skim over it.
I've done that since I was a kid.
Got literature homework? Just skim the story. Pass the quiz/test.
I scored above average in reading for my GED test, funnily enough.
All I did was skim and use the process of elimination.
If the story was about dogs, then most likely, the answers involved dogs somehow.
Overall, I have a short attention span. But losing focus is due to my horrible sleep. I don't sleep that good and it makes me tired constantly and I just drift off xD;
How is your attention span?
Do you lose focus and get distracted easily?

I know this feeling. When I have high anxiety I get distracted by things more, too. So I will have a pile of work and throughout doing it, will be thinking about the other things I have to do, the other things I want to do, etc etc.
As a result I have to be very stern with myself and make lists and priorities
If I don't, I'm a total mess, all over the place!

I had a very long attention span as a kid/teen. I'm pretty sad it's much shorter right now... But I'd say it's still pretty long. Though it depends on how much the thing I'm focusing on is interesting me. It also greatly depends on my physical condition - if I feel horrible, I'm not able to focus on anything. I have to admit, it is one of the things that encourage me to keep a proper care of myself...
I also don't have any sleeping issues - I guess it helps too.

My attention span is pretty good thou at times I get distracted by squirrels, shiny things, and birds. I can be carrying on a conversation then see something scurrying by and say "there goes the squirrel." Then the conversation is gone.

My attention span is super short. I am so ridiculously easily distracted. lol.
I have ADD so it's super legit. Though for some reason my doctors won't give me anything to help with the horrible attention span. It's super lame.
I am often in the middle of a sentence but then I completely change directions to a totally different subject.
I have a hard time focusing on one thing at a time. I like to watch stuff on tv and then play on my phone or switch or something.
Generally when I'm reading it requires my full attention. I can't even listen to music with words in it. It's way too distracting.
I like watching tv and playing video games at the same time too, but that's more difficult cuz I only have one tv. I need another. One for games and one for shows. lol.
