Mira couldn't help the small laugh that sounded as the teen fumbled over his words, as she started to cook a homemade soup for them.

Talia curiously watched him fight with the box until he eventually got it open, and shivered some when he applied the cold compress to her warm forehead. "Mom isn't the one you should worry about.." She teased lightly, slowly reaching door his hand and holding it tightly. "She's a sweet woman, just unfamiliar with your world.." She murmured softly.

"So I should worry about something else. Gotcha." Kael chuckled as he tightened his hold on her hand. He let his mind drift off once again towards the many folk tales he'd hear over the years, wondering how Talia and her mother are coping with staying in an unfamiliar place- no, world. Tourists? his mind offered and he tried to recall how he felt when he'd been taken on a trip several years ago. No, more like waking up and discovering that everything is just ... his lips pursed, deep in thought, trying not to delve too deep into his memories. Different.
