Forgive me if there's some place with the answer but I couldn't find it. I was wondering if to receive the crown you have to donate for 5 at once, or if donating throughout the month in smaller amounts resulting in 5 also counts?

The donations add up within a month, though, due to paypal fees being charged for %-amount of the donated amount as well as a fee for every single transaction, we prefer bigger sums at once as more of the money reaches us that way

yes, if the amount is enough for a donation perk within a month, even if not donated at once, you'll get the perk.
