That sounds lovely! One would need to combine it with a holiday in Italy for it to make sense travel-wise, I suppose.

That sounds amazing! That's also the place where they have a big mardi gras thing, right? And people go around serenading each other, and hollow out eggs and fill them with perfumed water and throw them at each other? I read about it, somewhere...

It really would require a real trip, can't just pop in for one evening and then back home again right after. That's what's stopping me, it adds up to a cost that I can't justify for myself haha especially since I do love conventions and the like as well ~

Maybe there will also be a convention there whose timing is close to the ball! Then you could do both!

I've already looked and so far no luck, but I'm keeping hope that something closer to home will be organized, or I'll be able to hold something similar myself one day :P

I was thinking about how you're moving soon anyhow, but at that distance, a little bit closer or further doesn't really have a huge impact. >.<

Yeah. I remember being amused once because my sister moved (within the same city), and she was geographically closer to me, but practically speaking further because at that distance I always end up visiting her by train, and the train stop was further away so I had to travel past her, and then transfer to a bus to get to her.
Closer, but less convenient. >.<
Speaking of which, I need to get a ticket to see her again....
