The US has twice fried potato chips and the like xD
I'll never forget the time I was on vacation with my parents and we went to a diner. I wasn't super hungry so I figured I'd order an appetiser/starter course instead of a main course.
It was chicken wings with fries, and I couldn't finish it :''D

Yes! I got really confused and thought the menu in US was just different with labels but the waitress assured me it was indeed a regular thing and it was a smaller portion...for the regular american c':
It had a huge half litre soda with it as well, everything is big in the US xD

Most restaurants we went to actually served a salad as a standard before your meal, but sadly the effect of it was lost cause it had a lot of salad dressing and such on it c':
it depends on where you are obviously, but I also felt like in the US there seems to be a fastfood opportunity overload. There are so many fastfood chains and such around every corner...

Yea a salad with loads of dressing is not really... light/healthy anymore :o
I think I will have salad for lunch today xD Or maybe dinner. I am afraid I won't have time for lunch..

Perogies are so nice, it's also common in Russia, I have them sometimes. Usually with simple potato filling and sour cream :)
Paprika Chips are also very common here :o
