Howdy there! I love your outfit! Would you happen to be a fan of the halloween season too?

Oh to add to Firefly's list, you can also
-participate in monthly Candy Caravan event (timing varies every month, it is unpredictable),
-try and catch items that the Queen has lost in mysterious areas around the site (like a scavenger hunt; Lost items show up for I think only a day and it is very random when they will be released, but if you're online during one of those days, after a few window views of KofK the queen will give you a pop-up direction to the right page)
-gather troth tokens daily (longer log-in streaks up the amount you can get each day) and spend them on permanent or special monthly items
-randomly get lucky and have a fairy gift you with a special fairy item (these are VERY low percentage chance, but are permanent. Some people have only found 2 after 8 years, one lucky person found THREE their first year... etc.)
-join user-run contests and raffles
-participate in seasonal events (these are different every time. There is usually one in mid-winter called "Doughnight" which seems vaguely Christmasy, plus most years a Halloween-themed one, some years a Spring Event, some years a Summer Event, something to mark KofK's anniversary.... and every once in a while a miscellaneous one will pop up like for St Patrick's Day or Valentine's Day)
-buy and sell items on the Marketplace or via the forum markets
-find materials and Knuffel daycare coupons by posting
-use materials (from digging or posting) to complete Quests (you can only have one active at a time, and giving up a quest doesn't let you take it again later, so choose quests carefully!)
