She-ra and the Princesses of Power

So another show from child hood has been rebooted. In my personal opinions that show isn't that bad. I don't care for She-ra's design, and did they really need to make Light Hope female? Doesn't the show have enough girl power?

I'm only about half way through and I tried not to spoil anything big. Have you watched it? What do you think of it.

I haven't started it yet, but I do plan on watching it. So far all I have seen is the preview. Not loving the art style.

Their dynamic is interesting. It works. I like how they couldn't keep Entrapta trapped.

Season 2 is supposed to be starting soon.

I've watched all of it. I really like it.
I didn't ever really hear much of the original She Ra, like I knew she existed but I didn't know she had a whole show before now. I thought she was just a side character from He Man.

I personally love that almost every character in the show is female. I'm so used to seeing action shows be mostly dudes with one or two female characters thrown in for sexual tension.

I still need to watch the last season. I'm fine with having a mostly female cast, I mean that's how the original one was, but it still irks me a little that they changed Light Hope.

Me and my roommate have been watching it off and on. Still haven't finished it and I'm not familiar with the original. I guess I'm not overly wowed by the show. I thought I would enjoy it more and I certainly do intend to eventually finish it. The characters are fun and clever. The basis behind it is good but compared to other highly story-driven children's shows, it feels the most like a kid's show to me. I hope getting farther in will change that.

The remake is not bad, but it is not my thing.
To me, it seems like they took the most basic idea of the premise and characters, and did their own thing with it. If you were a fan of the original, and I mean all the original media including comics, some of the changes might turn you off, but it is far from the worst official adaptation of the She-ra brand, and I can see how a newer generation could easily get into it.
All and all, it has some solid story telling, and I would recommend checking it out to see if it's for you.

It was really hyped up to me for its storytelling, which didn't really work in its favor: the first time I tried watching it I stopped because it felt a bit symplistic, story-wise. Which totally makes sense, considering the target audience! It's not something I hold against the show, more against the people that hyped it up.

I tried it a second time several months later and was able to enjoy it much more. I also skipped over some of the episodes to focus on the ones about the Catra and Adora storyline, which is where the story really shines in my opinion (their leitmotif, Promise, absolutely kills me every time).

All in all a pretty good show, and one that got better over the seasons as well.

haven't seen it, but the animation style wasn't my thing
